Security Officer

This role will offer a talented security professional the opportunity to drive our company towards a security assertive organization where the security subject will be part of our everyday decisions and a vital component of the services we offer. This role will be responsible for deploying strong policies and procedures, to facilitate the IT function into the delivery of a safe and easy to maintain solution and for the evolution  of the culture of the company.


(This role will report to the CEO of the Company) 

We are looking for a hero with strong, deep and proven experience in the security function of a financial institution, as we would like to offer a long term engagement and career path. This person will have to:

  • Define, implement and guarantee the quality of adequate policies, rules and norms for ICT security, in accordance with the legislation and best standards;
  • Be responsible for authoring a solid cyber security policy that covers all areas of the business including all IT systems - infrastructure, network, cloud services and software, and enables business development and resilience;
  • Assist all units in the organization with risks/ threats appraisal and the decision making process, subject to all IT security-related aspects; 
  • Create the business continuity and crisis management strategy of the organization, based on the standards of the regulator and facilitate the Director IT with the implementation;
  • Analyze the security gaps and weaknesses in the Organization and provide solutions to possible incidents without causing further interruptions of the operational activities;
  • Provide the necessary calculations and manage the spending in relation with planned investments in cyber security.
  • Prepare and present to the CEO and the Stakeholders various analyses, reports, researches, proposals and other relevant documents; 
  • Proactively monitor the IT security activities and introduce measures to prevent and mitigate possible misdeeds and gaps in the area; 
  • Coordinate all  IT security projects from the planning stage to the execution up to the best security standards;
  • Be part and drive the system;
  • Organize the communication and coordination with governmental institutions, IT security providers and clients to guarantee an effective coordination to ensure the security of the operations;
  • Prepare analysis and forecasts, and implements measures to ensure the security of the company;
  • Organize urgent investigations based on alerts and or suspicions;
  • Analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems to achieve final technology/business solution;
  • Organize, perform and control regular trainings and knowledge transfers to the entire organization;
  • Be responsible for the physical security of the assets and talent of the organization.


  • Bachelor's Degree with focus on Business Administration, IT or related area or equivalent professional experience;
  • Proven track record in a security position;
  • Experience in the DevOps field is a big plus;
  • Experience in the deployment of highly resilient, scalable and high-available systems is a strong advantage;
  • Good technical understanding of web applications and APIs;
  • Strong technical understanding of system administration, network topology and infrastructure;
  • Experience with securing cloud systems is a must;
  • Understanding and managing the software lifecycle is a must;
  • Strong experience in the financial industry including proven experience in payments via digital wallets is a significant advantage;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral) and stakeholder management with an ability to translate business needs to a technical team;
  • Results driven, with the ability to work toward goals in the face of adversity, obstacles;
  • Ability to adapt and readily integrate changes into work processes with good outcomes;
  • Great intellectual agility and attention to detail;
  • Open to feedback, able to deal with ambiguity and work on multiple concurrent activities;
  • Excellent planning, problem solving, organization, analytical and issue resolution skills;
  • Confident in working within a complex and evolving environment, to drive delivery of solutions;
  • Effective communication skills, proven ability to proactively deal with management ideas and recommendations for optimizing business operations;
  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines;
  • Ability to embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving;
